Since 1996 rhythm has been fundamental to Quincy’s spirit and music. Setting off to promote progressive music in Belgium he became a resident at the legendary Extreme club in Affligem in the last years of the club’s existence and made a big mark very quickly. As a result Quincy soon became a fixture at almost every club and festival that mattered in Belgium and also started producing his own music as Soul Phonic with his friend Benny Quinnart and ventured into solo production with releases on Belgium’s stronghold Bonzai Music and the Dutch label First Impression, run by legend Jaydee.
Quincy soon realized that in order to fully bring his musical vision to fruition it was important to set up his own events. Keeping the legacy of Ghent’s Boccaccio alive with ‘Rebuilding Mondays’ was a first step and other retro-inspired events and brands soon followed suit and trusted Quincy with their legacy: Extreme Reunion, Teknoville, Cherry Moon, etc.
But it was his Age Of Love collaboration with Nik Vandenberghe that made the biggest and most lasting impact. Starting in Ghent’s infamous Charlatan the party soon exceeded expectations and moved to sold out editions at Ghent’s Vooruit and Artcube venues, becoming a benchmark for what 90’s inspired parties could and should be.
In 2020 Quincy decided to take a break after more than 15 years of nightlife, but the rhythm never stopped being fundamental to his spirit and so he’s back for more in 2025. The ingredients remain the same: timeless, infectious grooves and records for happier dance floors and better parties. Are you ready for another round?!
